Fourth of July fireworks ready to blast off

The "bombs bursting in air" return to the night sky over Emil Nasser Stadium again in just five days.

The Winslow Fire Department is sponsoring the annual fireworks show on Monday with 2,319 shells ready to light up the night for at least two hours.

A few fan favorite designs are back including a 5-by-8-foot American flag and a 5-by-10-foot Arizona flag.

About $3,000 is still needed to fully fund the display. Donations can be dropped off at the Winslow Finance Department, The Fire Department and the Scoop office.

The show begins at dusk.
