Former teacher still named among Who's Who

Bob Howell of Winslow has been nominated once again to be honored in Who's Who Among America's Teachers. Howell has also received this honor in 1998, 2000, 2003 and 2004. Bob retired from teaching English in 1992.

He was selected for this honor because he "made a difference" in the life of one of his former students. Only students are invited to submit nominations for those who have distinguished themselves by being recognized for excellence in either Who's Who Among American High School Students, Who's Who Among American High School Students-Sports Edition or The National Dean's List.

Only 5-percent of our nation's teachers are honored in each edition of Who's Who and less than 2-percent are included in more than one edition.

Bob's brother, Dennis Howell in Wheatland, Wyo., also received this honor this year. Dennis is an art teacher and a former Winslow teacher as well.

Bob Howell was named Outstanding Secondary Educator of America in 1975.
