Police Log July 17-21

The Winslow Police Department responded to the following incidents during July 17-21. This is not a complete list of calls that officers answered. Unless otherwise noted, all charged suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

July 18

Bandana bandit

Someone broke into a home on the 1100 block of Bales. The homeowner reported about $75-100 worth of school clothes were taken. The homeowner also reported seeing prowlers looking through the windows.

A hot cooler

The heating and cooling unit was removed from the roof of the Head Start building. Police also reported that part of a 12-foot fence was torn down.

The damage to the fence was estimated at $1,000, but the cost of the HVAC unit was not listed. The incident is under investigation.

Off-road accident

A one-vehicle accident damaged a portion of the airport fence just south of the Williamson overpass. One man was taken to Winslow Memorial Hospital. The damage to the fence is estimated at $500.

July 19

Bike stolen

A red Tanka motorcycle was reported stolen from the driveway of a house on the 1100 block of W. Fourth. The vehicle was estimated to be worth $545.

Computer theft

A garage near the corner of Snider and Oak was reported broken into around 6:45 a.m. A computer and desk were listed as stolen.

July 20

BB shots

A resident of the 700 block of Hillview reported damage to two of his vehicles, believed to be caused by BB pellets. The damage was listed at $400.

Police received six calls regarding animals, five disorderly conduct calls, nine trespassing calls, three assaults or domestic violence calls, responded to 23 medical emergencies and issued 26 traffic tickets or warnings.
