Tribal legislative priorities<br>

PHOENIX — For some, Jan. 18, tribal legislative day, signified hope. Others approached it with skepticism. Many came with a wish list.

Retired Arizona State Sen. Jack Jackson Sr., considered the father of state legislative day, said he doesn’t have high hopes that this legislature will be friendly to Native Americans because the last election voted in several extreme conservatives.
