TUBA CITY -- The Tuba City High School Child Development Learning Center hosted a Christmas dinner Dec. 21 at the Tuba City High School cafeteria. There were about 75 to 100 students and parents that attended.

The Learning Center has about 25 students with two full-time teachers, Shirley Nelson and Carol Chee. They prepare the curriculum and high school students from the Occupational Child Case Class take turns instructing the young students. There are about 85 students that come to teach from the high school.

This is the only pre-school that serves the Tuba City area that includes all ranges of family income. Student ages range from 2 1/2 to 5 years old.
