Richard LaMar Bennett

Funeral Services for Richard LaMar Bennett, 66, were held Dec. 20 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Winslow Stake Center.

Richard grew up in Brigham City, Utah. He attended college at Weber State and Brigham Young University.

He moved to Arizona in 1971 to teach at Seba Dalkai school. In 1976 he moved to Winslow.

In later years he also worked as a Santa Fe Taxi driver. He retired from Seba Dalkai after 31 years of teaching.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Bennett; mother, Naomi Bennett of Brigham City; daughters, Tara Lynn Black of Fort Thomas, Eileen Rose Brimley of Fort Gordon, Gorg., and Kristina Anne Bennett of Tucson; sons, Jared LaMar Bennett of Salt Lake City and Jacob Lloyd Bennett of Joseph City; brothers, Dave Bennett of Willard Utah, and Robert Bennett and Ross Bennett both of Roy, Utah; sisters, Karen Stead of Tooele, Utah, and Brenda Bess of Brigham City; and 9 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother Larry Bennett and his father Ova Bennett.

Arrangements were under the care of Greer's Mortuary of Winslow.
