Funeral services for John "Jack" Alexander McCulloch who passed away Nov. 26 in Cottonwood., were held Nov. 30 at the United Methodist Church in Winslow. Interment followed at Desert View Cemetery.
He was born Aug. 25, 1925 in Pillsburgh, N.D., to William Clement McCulloch and Lila Brown Algeo. He was raised in Fargo, N.D..
John served three years in the U.S. Navy where he received the Distinguished Flying Cross medal and the gold star air medal.
He attended one year at the University of North Dakota studying veterinary medicine. He then started his career with Santa Fe in 1948. He became vice president of communications for the railroad. During his time with Santa Fe, he attended U.S.C. He retired from the railroad in 1982.
Jack married Barbara Stump on June 24, 1944. They lived in Winslow from 1955-1959, and then returned in 1988.
Survivors include his daughter, Patricia McCulloch of Winslow; sister Connie Erickson of Inglewood, Calif.; six grandchildren and one great grand child.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara and son Michael McCulloch.
Arrangements were under the care of Norvel Owens Mortuary of Winslow.
