Oliver Burrage

Oliver "Buster" Burrage, 81, passed away Aug. 12, 2005 in his hometown of Banning, Calif. He was born March 23, 1924 in Wright City, Okla.

Buster was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad for 30 years and spent part of his life in Winslow. He also co-owned Hills Cabinets from 1974 to 1989.

He served in the Marines during World War II and later was a member of Rotary International and the Banning-Beaumont Elks Lodge #1839.

He is survived by his wife, Connie L. Burrage; stepsons, Randy Neal of Winslow and Mike Shirley of Temecula, Calif.; brothers, Charles Burrage of Prescott and Cecil Burrage of Black Canyon City, Ariz.; sisters, Alice F. Schnel of Scottsdale and Joyce Sullivant of Williamson, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Jayne, Chase and Cameron Neal of Winslow, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Services were held Aug. 16 at Weaver Mortuary Chapel and was buried in Desert Lawn memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Banning-Beaumont Elks Lodge #1839, PO Box 2067, Beaumont, CA 92223.

Virginia Kelley

Funeral Services for Virginia Kelley, 50, were held Friday, August 26, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Virginia was born in Ft. Defiance and served as a nurse in the United States Army for 11 years.

She is survived by her stepfather, Billy Betoney; and mother, Betty Betoney of Standing Horse; sons, Monty Frank Kelley and Jordon Kelley of Winslow; brothers, Norman Betoney of Winslow, Julian Betoney of Winslow, Billy Betoney, Jr. and Layton Betoney of Belmont of Belmont, Ariz.; sisters, Carol Galli of Iowa, and Melissa Gonzales of Kingman.

She is preceded in death by her father, Wayne Bahe.

Gene Price

Funeral Services for Gene Price, 98, were held Monday, August 29, 2005 at Leupp Presbyterian Church. Interment followed at family plot in Tolani Lake, Ariz.

Gene attended the Sherman Institute in Riverside, Calif. He worked as a carpenter and later as a rancher.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Monroe; children, Eugene Price of Glendale, Frieda Hardy, Margie Bennett of Flagstaff, Donald Price of Tolani Lake, Velma Huskey of Tolani Lake, Pauline Riggs of Leupp, Alvin Price of Avondale, Ariz., Cecelia Kescole of Tolani Lake, Louie Price of Page, Ariz., Dennis Price of Shiprock, N.M., Ronald Price of Tolani Lake; sister, Genil Nelson; 32 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements under the care of Greer's Mortuary of Winslow.
