AYSO registration

The American Youth Soccer Organization will hold registration for students ages 4 to 13 August 4 and 5 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Dine' Bashas store in Tuba City. The cost is $25 for first child, additional same family children $20. Volunteers are also needed to help coach--no experience necessary with a high priority on older student coaching. The Coconino County Fair deadlines are August 5 through the 19th depending on the category. Delivery service is available to some communities in Coconino County. Cooking with kids

The Coconino County Health Department Arizona Nutrition Network and Flagstaff Parks and Recreation are offering two summer programs sure to make your mouth waterÉCookin with the County and Kids in the Kitchen. Participates will learn how to make nutritious, easy and tasty snacks such as tortilla soup, homemade mac and cheese, smoothies, watermelon soup and more. Cookin' with the County is offered on Fridays, Aug. 5, and Aug. 19 at 3:30 p.m. All ages are welcome to participate. The classes are free and will be held at the Cogdill Recreation Center, 310 S. The Tuba City Community Center will host a 15 and under co-ed basketball tournament on August 13 and 14. B-ball tourney

Get ready for the White Mountain Apache Tribal Fair and Rodeo Men's Women's Masters Open Basketball Tournaments held at Whiteriver Aday Memorial Gym in Whiteriver. Tournament dates are Aug. 10-13 for the women's division, Aug. 18-21 for the master's division and Aug. 25-27 for men's division. Young artists contest

Young Arizonans from ages 7 to 12 are invited to participate in an art contest to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the Yucca Post Office this summer. Entries of any medium with a postal related theme up to 4 p.m. on August 17. All entries must be the original work of the artist and include the artist's name, address, age, and phone number, as well as the title of the artwork attached to the back.
