Police Logs July 22-30

The Winslow Police Department responded to the following incidents during July 24-30. This is not a complete list of calls that officers answered. Unless otherwise noted, all charged suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

July 25

Burglary

A resident reported that she believes her daughter’s boyfriend stole a variety of personal items. The missing things were valued at a combined $5,500. The incident is under investigation.

Stolen weapons

Two guns were reported stolen from an unlocked shed on the 600 block of W. Gilmore. The two guns were valued at $650. The name of the owner was labeled on one of the guns.

July 26

Meter damage

A pickup truck struck a gas meter and broke it in an alley on the 600 block of Williamson. Unisource was called to inspect but police did not report any gas leakage. The truck was hauling a camper trailer, which struck a garage causing damage to the trailer and structure.

BB shots

A vehicle on the 700 block of W. Hillview was reported with a window shot out believed to be caused by BB pellets.

Police received five calls regarding animals, 14 disorderly conduct calls, 23 trespassing calls, 10 assaults or domestic violence calls, responded to 24 medical emergencies and issued 28 traffic tickets or warnings.
