Lynch delivers two gifts of a lifetime

It was a celebration joining three cultures—Hispanic, Hopi and Anglo—and the result of a deep, respectful love and friendship. Since the fateful day in 2003 when Lori Piestewa and other members of her transportation company came under fire from an enemy ambush, Pfc. Specialist Jessica Lynch has pledged to take care of Piestewa’s two small children. She also plans to maintain a close, tight bond with Piestewa’s parents, Priscilla “Percy” and Terry for the rest of her life.

She made good on that personal pledge last week when the Piestewa family was presented with a new home.
