WMH... ready to serve<br>

Winslow and the surrounding communities are extremely fortunate to have the dedicated and committed staff of healthcare workers, doctors and managers who provide us high quality services at Winslow Memorial Hospital.

Providing healthcare in rural areas such as Winslow and surrounding communities is becoming an enormous and increasingly difficult task.

Three major components negatively impacting our hospitals’ ability to provide services are: The skyrocketing cost of malpractice insurance, the grossly inadequate reimbursement from Medicare and AHCCCS and the underutilization of the quality services that are available.

WMH experienced exceptionally low inpatient and outpatient volumes over the summer months. This is once again a stark reminder that if the services of our hospital are not fully utilized by the community, it becomes increasingly difficult, if not impossible, to sustain these services.

All of the dedication, commitment, and strategic planning of these fine employees will not make the hospital successful if we do not use the many quality services available to us.
