Hopi Chairman & Tribal Council visit TC District<br>

TUBA CITY — In what is quickly becoming a historic project for Tuba City Unified School District, on Oct. 20, Hopi Tribal Chairman Wayne Taylor Jr. visited the Hopi “Lavayi” (Hopi language) classes offered for the first time at the both the TC Junior High and TC High School.

Chairman Taylor, along with his staff assistant Reanna Albert, two members of the Hopi Lavayi Project, Marvin Lalo, director; and Dawa Taylor, Hopi Lavayi Project staff; Hopi Tribal Council members, Florence Albert (Upper Mungapi Village Representative); and Kathleen Shebola (Bacavi Village Representative) met with TC Associate Superintendent Dr. Harold Begay, Richard Grey, principal TC Junior High; and several Hopi staff members of the Hopi Lavayi Project at Tuba City District.
