Tuba City High Enrollment

The first day of school at Tuba City High is Aug. 9. Please pick up an enrollment packet and register now for the 2004-05 school year. Enrollment packets are available at the TCHS library/counseling office from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed 12 to 1 p.m. Registration fees must be paid with money order or cash (no personal checks). Fees are for freshmen and sophomores are $10 and for juniors and seniors are $15. New enrollees should bring the following: An official withdrawal record from student’s previous school, updated immunization records, birth certificate, Social Security card, Certificate of Indian Blood, notarized power of attorney for temporary guardianship and promotion certificate for incoming ninth graders.

Public Meeting in Monument Valley tonight

Attend a public meeting to learn about the US 163, Kayenta-Monument Valley Scenic Road Corridor Management Plan. Thos will be the second public meeting, and will be held on July 21, from 5p.m. to 7p.m. at the Monument Valley, UT High School. US 163 from Kayenta to Monument Valley is an Arizona Scenic Road. The Corridor Management Plan will provide a vison for the roadway and surrounding area, and inventory and documentation of the qualities of the roadway, and the community’s goal. Community members and stakeholders will have an opportunity to make comments and submit ideas about this project. Volunteers are needed to participate on an Advisory Committee. Interested community members and stakeholders may submit their names at the meeting.
