WPD makes drug bust in Texaco parking lot

WPD officer Sam Short and DPS officer Joe Lapre search Levy’s car and uncover a small amount of marijuana.

Also called to the scene was Arizona Department of Public Safety K-9 Officer Joe Lapre and his dog, Nino, who alerted on the car.

WPD and DPS officers throughly searched inside and out of the vehicle, even taking the time to unscrew speaker covers from the vehicle’s interior.

While searching, they uncovered a sandwich baggie containing what appeared to be a small amount of marijuana.

Albert J. Levy of Phoenix was cited and released for possession of marijuana.

Levy was accompanied by two females and four other men, none of which were cited.

The case is still under investigation. Other charges could result due to this incident.
