Holiday greetings from Iraq<br>

We are with the 258th Engineering Company out of Phoenix stationed at Tallil, Iraq. We were deployed here to Iraq around the end of February.

I proposed this picture about a month ago but missions and our job at hand here has taken higher priority for all of us. As I speak the pictures that I am sending will be missing two native soldiers that are with our unit here. They both are apart of a mission that is just north of us and they couldn’t make it to our little photo shoot.

The Navajo Nation flag was painted on the softball field that the 258th Eng. Co. (maintenance platoon and line platoons) built when we had first arrived at the base.

As for our two native soldiers that aren’t pictured I would like their names to be put on the picture also, so they know that we were thinking about them and their family back home also. And because they are a part of us here in our lil’ band of brothers here.

We would all like to say hello and happy holidays to our friends and our love ones that are back in the states. And also a Happy Holidays to everyone back in the states that may read this.

We are the Native American soldiers of the 258th Eng. Co. — “Keepers of the Castle.”
