Council also reaffirmed their policy on alley closures. The policy currently states if 100 percent of the residents affected agree to the closure, the city will pay for the alley to be blocked off.

Along those lines, council approved closing the alley from Donnelly Street to Pope Avenue between Second and Third Streets.

On the consent calendar the council took the following action:

• Approved the transfer of liquor license series #06, to PT’s Cocktail & Nightclub, located at 1500 East Third Street.

• Approved payment for legal services in conjunction with the City’s water rights.

• Approved the purchase of four computers for the Public Housing Department.

• Authorized the purchase of a commercial front mower for the Public Housing Department.

• Approved payment for the installation of door hardware for the Community Building at Public Housing.

• Approved the purchase of culvert pipe for the Streets Division.

• Approved the purchase of a flow meter for the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
