Williamson Avenue Circle K store robbed

On Nov. 12 at about 3:12 a.m., the Winslow Police Department Communications Center received a report of an armed robbery of the Circle K store located at 323 N. Williamson Avenue. The victim, a clerk at the store, told officers that a white male, age early 20s, came into the store and displayed a knife, making a demand for money before locking him in the bathroom under threat of physical harm. The suspect reportedly took a few items and left the store.

At approximately 5:32 a.m., patrolling officers located and took into custody 18-year-old Jacob L. Harmon. Several items from the robbery were recovered from Harmon’s person. Additional information gained at the crime scene also aided in Harmon’s identification.

Harmon was interviewed and booked into the Navajo County Jail in Holbrook on charges of armed robbery, kidnapping, aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and burglary. These charges may be amended or additional charges considered following review of the case reports by the Navajo County Attorney’s Office.

As with every investigation, all persons are presumed innocent until a jury renders a judgment of guilt.

Any person having any additional information on this robbery or any other criminal activity is asked to call the Winslow Police Department’s Crime Stop number at (928) 289-2100. Remember, we don’t need your name, just your information.
