Lady Bulldogs suffer first lost of region, defeat Window Rock twice

The Winslow Lady Bulldogs defeated the Window Rock Lady Scouts 61-47 in a 3A North Region basketball game played in Window Rock on Jan. 28.
Nicole Begaii burned the nets for 29 points including 21 by connecting on seven three-point shots. She led all scorers and joined Juana Brown with 11 points and Lindsey Begaii with 10 in the double digit column for Winslow.

The Monument Valley Lady Mustangs handed the Winslow Lady Bulldogs their first 3A North Region loss of the season 66-55 at Kayenta on Friday.
Sukki Littleben led all scorers with 27 points for Monument Valley. Irene Bahe was also in double figures for the Lady Mustangs with 15 points.
Nicole Begaii with 13 points and Lindsey Begaii with 12 paced the Winslow attack. Starla McCurtain scored nine points and Heather Johnson had eight for the Lady Bulldogs.

The Winslow Lady Bulldogs defeated the Window Rock Lady Scouts 49-44 again on Saturday, Feb. 1.
Lindsey Begaii was once again the game’s leading scorer with 14 points for Winslow. Window Rock had a pair of players in double figures as Renee West scored 12 points and Jodelle Bitloy tallied 10 before fouling out.
