Hopi soldier missing in action <br>

U.S. Army Pfc. Lori Ann Piestewa, 22, of Lower Moencopoi was among seven soldiers listed as missing in action from a March 23 pre-dawn ambush of a convey near An Nasiriyah in southwestern Iraq. Piestewa, the mother of a boy, 4, and girl, 3, is part of the 507th Maintenace Company at Fort Bliss, Texas. She is the daughter of "Percy" and Terry Piestewa of Tuba City, both employees of Tuba City Unified School District. A community meeting for Piestewa was planned in Tuba City Warrior Pavilion for 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26. All are welcome and donations can be made at the Tuba City District Office or high school administration office located in the pavilion.
