New Tuba City Public Library dedicated

The sun was shining on the building and inside on the special dedication attendees of a historic building that was given a new life in the form of a public library that will service the ethnically diverse population of Tuba City.
The Tuba City Public Library project has been more than 15 years in the making. Originally started as an idea of Tuba City Cultural Projects headed by Lena Fowler and George Abe, it was met with red tape in acquiring the vacant facility through the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Washington, D.C.
