Shonto 2002-03 budget hearing

A public hearing to discuss the 2002-2003 budget for Shonto Charter 1-8 School and the Shonto Prep-Tech High School will be held Thursday from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. at the Shonto Prep School Board Room. Proposed charter budgets can be reviewed at the Shonto Prep School. Proposed budgets will be adopted July 9. For questions, call 928-672- 2652.

A series of 5K Fun Run and 3K Fun Walks will take place at the following locations:

Coalmine Mesa free rabies clinic

There will be a free Rabies Vaccine Clinic at Coalmine Mesa today (June 19) sponsored by the Office of Environmental Health and Engineering. Rabies vaccines will also be available at the following locations: LeChee Chapter House – June 20, Coppermine – June 25 and 26, Tonalea Chapter House July 8, Kaibeto Chapter House July 9, Tuba City Chapter House July 12. Dilkon fair and rodeo meeting

Nells Flagstaff Junior Rodeo

The Second Annual Nells Flagstaff Junior Rodeo will be held at the Flagstaff Hay and Grain Arena, June 22. Showtime is at 10 a.m. All Around and Event Champions will be awarded. Cameron, Black Falls Uranium Report meeting

An important meeting detailing the effects of uranium mining on the wells and springs of the Black Falls, Cameron area will be held June 29 at Milton Yazzie’s residence starting at 9 a.m. Presenters will include scientists, U.S. EPA and tribal environmental professionals. TC Summer Weight Room

Kykotsmovi Hopi Veterans Meeting

All Hopi Veterans are invited to a Hopi Veterans Meeting scheduled for June 26 from 6-9 p.m. at the Kykotsmovi Community Center. Church Camp Meeting 2002 in Cameron

Cameron Church of the Nazarene will host special speaker Allen Jones at its Camp Meeting 2002 at 7 p.m. June 28 service. On June 29, there will be 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. services and a 10 a.m. service on June 30 morning. Come enjoy the preaching, youth singing and testimonies.

TC Youth Fair and Power Wheel Race

The TC Office of DinE youth will sponsor a Youth Fair July 11 at 6 p.m. at the TC Community Center softball field. Participants must be at least three to six years of age.
