The Winslow Bulldogs defeated the Hopi Bruins 85-62 in an Enchantment Region basketball game played in Winslow on Saturday. The victory left the Bulldogs with a 15-6 record for the season and a 9-1 record in the region. Hopi fell to 5-17 for the season and 1-9 in the region.

The Bulldogs scored the first 10 points of the game on their way to a 24-11 first period lead. The margin was a commanding 49-28 by the intermission and 68-40 at the end of three periods.

Bryan Curtis led all scorers with 21 points for the Bulldogs. Evander Lee with 18 points and Stephen Hancock with 11 were also in double figures for the victors. All 12 players on the Bulldog squad cracked the scoring column.

Dellen Lomayestewa paced the Bruins with 19 points. Garrick James and Chris Hawk were also in double figures for Hopi with 10 points each.

The Winslow Lady Bulldogs defeated the Hopi Lady Bruins 61-31 in an Enchantment Region basketball game played in Winslow on Saturday. The victory left Winslow with a record of 19-4 for the season and a league-leading 9-0 mark in the region. Hopi fell to 4-6 in the region and 15-9 for the season.

The Lady Bulldogs led 12-6 after the first period and 25-15 at the intermission, before putting the game out of reach in the third period after which they led 45-23.

Lindsey Begaii led the Lady Bulldogs with 19 points. Faith Carpenter was also in double figures for Winslow with 10 points.
