WHS Track Girls Won Chinle Invitational – Boys Second

The Winslow High School girls’ track team won the Chinle Invitational Meet on March 23. The Winslow boys finished second behind Page. The Winslow girls had 199 points to 158 for second place Chinle. The Page boys had 212 points to 186 for Winslow.

Jackie Foster won the discus and the shot put and was second in the triple and long jumps for Winslow. Jenna Adams won the triple jump and the long jump and was second in the high jump. Larissa Bratt won the 400 meters and was fourth in the 200 meters. Katie Koll won the 100-meter hurdles. Debra Hancock was second in the 200 and 400 meters. Ashlee Chee was fifth in the shot put. The Winslow girls won the 400-meter relay and the 1600-meter relay and finished fourth in the 3200-meter relay.

Shimeon Mattox won the 200 meters and finished third in the 110-meter high hurdles. Steve Hancock won the 800 meters and finished second in the 1600 meters. Nick Patton won the pole vault. Jimmy Curnutte won the shot put. Carlos Quezado was second in the high jump and fifth in the 200 meters. Effrem Yazzie was fifth in the 400 meters. Charles Gover was fifth in the 300-meter hurdles. Winslow won the 3200-meter, 1600 meter and 400 meter relays.
