The couple studied at the RHEMA Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma for the past five years. “It was a lifelong dream to go to RHEMA, and ten years later, we did,” Dee Dee said.

The couple originally lived in California where Danny served as Associate Pastor of the Assembly of God Church.

The In Him Outreach Church had been without a pastor for several months until the Spitzer’s arrived about a month ago.

The couple, who have been married for 21 years, have three sons. Daniel, currently in Oklahoma with his wife Mary following in his parent’s footsteps by attending RHEMA, Christopher, 15, and Chase, 11.

Now that they have arrived in Winslow and are starting to settle in, they are excited about being here. “The people here are precious and we see a lot of potential,” Dee Dee said.

The couple hopes to start a strong youth and children’s ministry aimed at making families stronger and they say it will make their church stronger.

Dee Dee will also be teaching a prayer class on Wednesday evenings for eight weeks in hopes of helping those who attend build their prayer foundation and make the church’s “foundation” stronger. She also hopes to start a woman’s ministry program.

The two have future plans to conduct a marriage class where they will “tag-team” and deliver both the man’s and woman’s point of view to a lasting relationship.

The couple added they would like to get involved with the community through the school and the Winslow Chamber of Commerce.

The two pastors say the motto they live by and teach is to “Bring Hope, Help and Healing” through the gospel they preach.

“We want to invite people who don’t have a home-church to come,” Dee Dee said.

“Right now we are really trying to develop relationships,” she concluded.

The In Him Outreach Church is located at 1004 Williams Avenue. Services are Sunday at 10 a.m. and include a children’s service.
