George Keyonnie Begay

Funeral Services for George Keyonnie Begay, 84, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2001 at the Teesto Assembly of God Church, Teesto, Ariz. Interment to follow at the Family Plot in Seba Dalkai, Ariz.

George Begay passed away on May 26, 2001 in Winslow, Ariz. He was born on September 1, 1916 in Birdsprings, Ariz. George grew up in the Birdsprings area.

He served his country in the U.S. Marines during World War II, as a stand-by Code Talker. He worked for Sante Fe Railroad. He retired from the Railroad in 1979, and was then able to spend more time with his family. He was a member of the Salt Clan and the Bitter Water Clan on his father’s side. He lived in Upper Birdsprings.

His survivors include; daughters, Ruth Begay of Birdsprings, Rose Spencer of Seba Dalkai, Marie Nez of Teesto, Louise Ray of Freeport, Ohio, Nellie Jackson of Seba Dalkai, Loraine Attakai of Birdsprings and Geneva Wagner of Birdsprings; sons, Steven Begay of Holbrook, Johnnie Begay of Seba Dalkai, David Begay of Farmington, NM, and Dennis Begay of Birdsprings; 23 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Ena K. Begay; sister, Betty Billy; son, Wilford Begay.

Arrangements are under the direction of Greer’s Scott Mortuary of Winslow.

F.E. Gene Price

Funeral services for F.E. Gene Price, 84, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2001, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Winslow Stake Center, Winslow, Ariz. Viewing will be held at 12:00 p.m. prior to service, in the Relief Society Room. Bishop Tim DeWitt will be officiating. Interment will be in Desert View Cemetery.

Mr. Price passed away on Monday, May 28, 2001, in Riverton Wyo. He was born in Sherman, Ark. On January 6, 1917, where he lived with his family until he moved to California and began work as an engineer for Convair Corporation, building airplanes during World War II. While visiting his sister in Yuma, Ariz. In 1951, he met and married Eva Bagby. They returned to California where they lived and had two daughters, Bobbie Price and Diane Price. Mr. Price and his family moved to Yuma, Ariz. In 1955, and he worked as a Real Estate Broker until he retired and moved to Winslow, Ariz.

In 1995,Mr. Price became an active member of the L.D.S. Church and participated in many of the functions for the church until his death.

Survivors include; brother, Duel Price of Riverton, Wyo.; sister, Wanda Hall of Casper, Wyo.; two daughters, Bobbie Price Bay of Winslow and Dianne Price Delich of Scottsdale, Ariz.; six grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Eva Bagby Price; father, Marion Augusta Price and mother, Emma Peachie Texana Clayton Price; brother, Robert Eselmond; sister, Hattie Maryann Gazaway; brother, Robert Vincent Price and brother, Norman Price.

Arrangements are under the director of Greer’s Scott Mortuary of Winslow.
