Ida May Oxley

Ida May Oxley, age 94 of Payson, died Sunday, June 24. She was born May 17, 1907 in Syracuse, Missouri, and had lived in Arizona for the past 72 years. She lived in Winslow for forty of those years. She was employed at Babbit’s department store for 32 years.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Pisel of Payson; brother, Ted Barbee of Sun City, Ariz.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Victoria Lee Anderson

Graveside service for Victoria Lee Anderson, 54, were held on June 29th at the Desert View Cemetery.

Victoria Lee Anderson passed away June 25, 2001, in Winslow. She was born October 17, 1946, in Princeton, West Virginia. She received her Masters Degree from Northern Arizona University in 1977. She taught grades 1-3 at the Greasewood Boarding School in Ganado, Ariz. she served her country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and returned to teaching upon her return to the States. She taught at the Dilcon Boarding School and Seba Dalkai Boarding School. She was dedicated to Education Betterment and was a gifted and talented teacher, Education Coordinator and Consultant.

Her survivors include: cousin, Mary Ellen Britts.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Anderson; her mother, Ruby Neal and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Robertson.

Arrangements are under the direction of Greer’s Scott Mortuary of Winslow.
