Winslow Little League Teams Participating in Tournaments<br>

The Winslow Little League is hosting a pair of District One boys’ tournaments this week, while other tournaments are being held in Page and Round Valley.

Teams from Winslow, Flagstaff, Page and Flagstaff Continental began play on Tuesday in Winslow in the Junior League Division. Teams from Blue Ridge, Round Valley, Show Low and Snowflake began play at Round Valley. The winners will meet in Winslow on Saturday.

Teams from Flagstaff Continental, Flagstaff, Winslow, Page, Flagstaff Mt. Elden, Flagstaff Coconino and Tuba City began play on Monday in Winslow in the Major League Division. The Winslow portion of this tournament concludes on Friday with the remainder of the action to be played in Snowflake beginning on Tuesday and ending on July 19.

The 9-10 year-old boys began play on July 5 at Page when Winslow met Flagstaff Coconino, Flagstaff played Payson, Flagstaff Continental met Flagstaff Mt. Elden and Tuba City met Page. The tournament will conclude on Saturday.

The 9-10 year-old boys’ team includes Andrew Thomas, Tommy Gomez, Levi Smith, Zach Warner, Matthew Smith, Chris Reyes, Dylan Baker, Anthony Huerta, Joseph Larsen, Roman Guzman, Jon Ortiz and Chris Williams. Tom Gomez, Shawn Smith and Anthony Huerta coach the team.

The 11-12 year-old boys’ team includes Mark Armao, Steffen Bailon, Jacob Betoney, Brian Caraway, Cody Elzey, Joey Garcia, Chris Loscher, Myron Martin, Adrian Martinez, Joseph Monsegur, Stephen Soehner and Darius Thomas. Bob Caraway, Kerry Pugh and Micky Soehner coach the team.

The 13-14 year-old boys’ team includes Danny Martinez, Jonah Budka, Derek Nelson, Lucas Kirkland, Matthew Oso, Jordan Payne, Josh Stago, Alex Richards, Pierre Arrossa, Billy Moyers, Adrian Smith and Orlando Vargas. Pierre Arrossa, David Manthei and Jeff Kirkland coach the team.

The 14-15 year-old boys’ team includes Derek Woods, Dustin Cole, Fernando Lopez, Nathan Garner, Boogie Baca, Joseph Sanchez, Andrew Richards, George Vasquez, Lucas Armenta, Alan Duran, Michael Soehner and Jeff McCauley. Richard Baca, Tony Duran and George Vasquez coach the team.
