Diné/Hopi Special Olympics

The Diné/Hopi Special Olympics monthly meeting will be held January 18 in Many Farms at the Chinle Boarding School. The meeting will start at approximately 10 a.m. and will continue until all items on the agenda are covered. The agenda includes an Area Basketball Tournament, Area Track and Field Meet, physicals, and coaches training in track/field and basketball. Tuba City/Moenkopi Little League

A general meeting for anyone interested in helping the Tuba City/Moenkopi Little League for the 2001 season will be held Wednesday, January 31 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Jude Parrish Hall in Tuba City. Anyone interested in coaching, umpiring, or just being a general volunteer to help with concessions or field maintenance should attend. Basketball Leagues

Open coed and inter department leagues will start on Thursday, January 31. Entry fee is 10 player roster with 5 males and 5 females. Games will be played on Wednesday and Thursday nights from 6-10 p.m. MST. For more information, call (520) 283-3026.

Phoenix Suns Discount Tickets

The Phoenix Suns basketball team will be hosting a “Flagstaff Night” at America West Arena on Friday, March 23. In a game against the Philadelphia 76ers, residents of Flagstaff can purchase a discounted game ticket for only $15 (regularly priced at $27). Ticket holders will also receive meal deal coupons and a Hoops ‘n’ Groups t-shirt, and all Flagstaff fans will be seated together in a special section of the arena. One Mile Walk

“Ti Let’s Cruise” (TLC), One mile walk will be held on February 27, at the Inscription House Chapter House at 10 a.m. and on March 28, at the Shonto Chapter House at 10 a.m.
