Telesfor "Tito" Montoya

Holy Rosary for Telesfor "Tito" Montoya, 85, was held at 7 p.m. Sunday, August 27 at Madre de Dios Catholic Church with Father Dan Hussey as celebrant. Viewing was held from 6 - 7 p.m. Sunday, August 27 at Madre de Dios. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 29, at Madre de Dios. Interment was in Desert View Cemetery.

Telesfor T. Montoya passed away on August 24, in Winslow. He was born on January 5, 1915, in Winslow. "Tito" was a loving father who took care of all his kids and helped them all. He was happy and never had an enemy, He loved to gamble and enjoyed fishing, boating and hunting. He went to church every day.

His survivors include: sons, Telesfor Montoya, Jr. of Winslow, Gilbert Montoya of Snowflake and Henry Montoya of Phoenix; daughters, Priscilla Duran of Scottsdale and Lucy Rubi of Tempe; sisters, Mary Burton and Helen Glisch, both of Phoenix; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his father, Vidal Montoya and mother, Modesto Tafoya Montoya. His wife Beatrice Montoya passed away in 1988.

John Phillip

Funeral services for John Phillip, 82, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 22 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Greasewood with Brother David Davenport conducting. Interment was in Greasewood Cemetery.

John Phillip passed away on August 18 in Flagstaff. He was born on November 15,1917, in Greasewood. He was a rancher.

His survivors include: sister, Zonnie Bitahey, stepchildren and nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Phillip; father, Hastin Tahe and mother, Ndineba" hastin-n bigise; brothers, Ben Navajo and Pasco Bitahey; sister, Ellen Phillip.

Greer's Scott Mortuary of Winslow was in charge of the arrangement.

Annie K. Spencer

Funeral services for Annie K. Spencer, 71, were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5 at Greer's Scott Mortuary Chapel with Brother Warren Fuller officiating, Interment was in Desert View Cemetery.

Annie K. Spencer passed away on August 31 in Winslow. She was born June 6,1929 in Teesto. She was a Master Rug Weaver and homemaker. She raised sheep and lived in the Teesto area all her life.

Her survivors include, husband, Clayton Spencer of Teesto; sons, Raymond Spencer, Leo Spencer, Ernie Spencer, all of Teesto, Herman Spencer of Sunflower Butte, and Amos Spencer of Page; daughter, Ella Mae Yazzie of Teesto; brother, Roger Kanuho of Dilcon; sister, Anita Jackson of Teesto; 22 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father, George Kanuho and mother, Flora Ike Kanuho.

George Jensen

Funeral service for George Jensen, 69, was held at 10 a.m. Monday, September 4 at the Dilcon First Church of Nazarene in Dilcon with Pastor Joe Curley officiating. Interment was in the Family Plot in Dilcon.

George Jensen passed away on August 31 in Tucson. He was born on August 3, 1931 in Cedar Springs. He worked and retired from employment in the Water Department with the Navajo Tribe.

His survivors include; wife, Maxy Begay; sons, Jerry Jensen and Herbert Jensen, both of Dilcon; daughters, Sadie Jensen of Flagstaff, Katherine Andy of Dilcon, Margie Wayne of Winslow, Alta Jensen of Dilcon, Evonne Jensen of Dilcon and Yolanda Davis of Grand Canyon; brothers, Justin Jensen of Winslow, and Tommy Jensen of Teesto; sisters, Eva Clark and Nora Barton, both of Teesto.

Greer's Scott Mortuary of Winslow was in charge of the arrangements.
