Lady Bulldogs Split With Snowflake

The Winslow Lady Bulldogs softball team split a pair of games with the Snowflake Lady Lobos in Winslow on March 20. Winslow took a 10-4 record into Friday's contest with Round Valley in Eagar. The Lady Bulldogs were also slated for a double-header at Seton Catholic on Saturday.

Snowflake enjoyed a shutout pitching performance and took advantage of nine Winslow errors for a 6-0 victory in the opener. Winslow used a four-run fourth inning to break a 1-1 tie and propel the Lady Bulldogs to an 8-3 victory in the nightcap. Joanna Panana was the winning pitcher.

The Snowflake junior varsity remained undefeated as they swept the previously undefeated Winslow junior varsity 9-3 and 3-2. Winslow dropped to 6-2 for the season.

Lady Bulldogs Drop Three over Weekend

The Winslow Lady Bulldogs softball team suffered through a rough weekend with a 7-5 loss to Round Valley on Friday at Eagar and 8-4 and 5-0 losses to Seton Catholic on Saturday at Chandler. The results left the Winslow girls with a 10-7 record for the season and a 1-0 record in the Enchantment Region.

Winslow will host Pinon in an Enchantment Region contest on Tuesday and will enter the 3A East Region Invitational Tournament in Show Low on April 6 and 7.

The Winslow junior varsity also lost at Round Valley 11-6 on Friday to fall to 6-3 for the season. The junior varsity will host Joseph City on Tuesday.
