Special Olympics Meeting

The Dine’/Hopi Special Olympics Coaches/ Volunteers will have their monthly meeting at Hopi Jr./ High School in Keams Canyon on April 4. The meeting will start at 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Important items are the Area Track and Field Meet, State Track and Field Meet, Area Basketball Tournament and next year’s scheduling of events and sites. Farm Board Meetings

The next Farm Board meetings will be held Wednesday, April 4 and April 10 at 10 a.m. at the BIA Agency building in Tuba City.

Volunteers Needed

Parents Anonymous of Arizona, Inc. is seeking volunteers for the position of childcare provider. Commitments will include one year of volunteer service and able to commit 2-3 hours weekly to the program. Qualifications include experience working with pre-school and elementary age children as a parent, teacher, babysitter and more. Community Alcohol Screening Day

A Community Alcohol Screening Day will be held on Friday, April 6 from 8:30- 4:30 p.m. at the Department of Behavioral Health Services in Tuba City. The public is invited to come meet with a certified substance abuse counselor in private to complete an alcohol screening. For more information, call (520) 283-3031/3041.

It’s the Peaks!

The Flagstaff Activist Network will produce the third annual “It’s the Peaks! At Flagstaff High School’s Main Auditorium on April 6-7 and 13-14. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. to give the audience time to explore displays and interactive exhibits set up by community groups. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 at the door and $6 for Flagstaff Activist Network members. For more information, contact Roxanne at 774-6542.

Kids’ Creative Movement Class

Canyon Movement Company presents a FREE children’s creative movement class at 3 p.m. at Barnes and Noble Booksellers, Saturday, April 7. Ages 4-10 are invited.

Fundraiser

Coconino County Rabies Clinic

The third annual “Rabies Clinic 2001” will be held on Saturday, April 7 from 1 to 4 p.m. The clinic will be located at the Timberline-Fernwood Fire Department located at 6050 E. Firehouse Lane off N.
