Italians
The entire team met in Holbrook and toured the Museum of the Americas located north of Holbrook guided by Anthropologist Bill Posey and learned about dinosaurs, geology, pottery and Arizona's ancient history.
After dinner at Dos Amigos in Winslow, the team visited La Posada, enjoyed watching trains arrive and depart and then walked two blocks to stand "On The Corner" for a group photo.
On Tuesday, the team traveled to Grand Canyon with hosts Loren and Jean Sadler. The young and energetic team hiked the six mile round trip to Indian Gardens and then took in the sights at the South Rim. Wednesday the GSE Team acquainted the Winslow Rotary Club members with a colorful presentation about Italy.
After exchanging arrividercci's and goodbye's with the Winslow Rotary Club the team spent its last week in Arizona with the Show Low Rotary Club and Past District Governor Mel Taunt and wife Judy, and will have a final appearance at Rotary District 5510 Conference in Mesa, May 18-21.
The Group Study Exchange Team Project has been a successful, long-term Rotary Program to promote international understanding. The GSE Team was fluent in English and developed a taste for Mexican Food. Motel Owner A. D.
