On March 22, the U.S. Senate passed Senate Bill 772, entitled the Ashlynne Mike AMBER Alert in Indian Country Act.
The House gave final approval Feb. 26 to a bill that will give tribes direct access to funds that allows them to quickly post AMBER alerts over text messaging, radio and television to counties within reservation borders.
