Newly crowned Miss Indian NAU Jaymee Moore. The annual Miss Indian NAU Pageant was held Nov. 20 on campus at the Cline Library assembly hall. Six contestants vied for the prestigious title and a $1,600 scholarship.

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - The annual Miss Indian NAU pageant was held Nov. 20 at the Cline Library assembly hall. Six contestants entered with the hopes of winning the crown to represent Native American students at Northern Arizona University. In the end, sophomore Jaymee Li Moore, 19, was crowned. The pageant, presented by the Native Americans United student club, promotes cultural awareness and understanding of tribal groups and positively represents and assists in strengthening the recruitment and retention of Native American students.
