WINSLOW, Ariz. — Winslow, Navajo County, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and U.S. Corps of Engineers have completed measurements on the Little Colorado River Flood Plain and how it affects Winslow structures.

After re-measuring the expected water levels, a substantial portion of Winslow’s center was removed from the projected flood area. Still remaining are some properties on the north portion of the city center.

A detailed map is available for viewing in the lobby of Winslow City Hall, 119 East First St., during normal business hours.

The map is useful in determining if a resident’s property vulnerability to flooding has officially changed, which may impact insurance premiums.
