Duo performs to benefit Alice's Place

Bettman and Halpin performed Jan. 22 at the Winslow Tourism Center in the Hubbell Building to benefit Alice's Place domestic violence shelter. Stephanie Bettman is a writer, singer and fiddler. Luke Halpin is a master of guitar and mandolin, and is adept at fiddle and banjo as well. The duo performed a compelling set of songs for an hour. Besides the music, refreshments were served and a silent auction took place. Auction donors included Twin Arrows, Turquoise Room, Corner Feed and Tack, Tate's Auto Group, Captain Tony's Pizza and many more. Alice's Place has provided crisis intervention, a 90-day shelter program and complete support for those in need since 2000. More information is available at (928) 289-3003.
