Rodeo meeting July 20 in Wheatfields

A special meeting of the Native Rodeo Historical Society (NRHS) takes place July 20 at the Wheatfields, Arizona Chapter House. The meeting will address topics left over from the Kayenta meeting.

The meeting will begin promptly at 10 a.m. The agenda includes discussion and finalization of the NRHS Articles of Incorporation and NRHS Bylaws, as well as Strategic Plans and also possible discussion of a Second Annual Navajo Cowboy Reunion.

The public is invited to the meeting.

Cancelled: Youth basketball tourney Aug. 1-3 in Kykotsmovi

The Hopi Veterans Memorial Center Co-Ed Youth Basketball Tournament Aug. 1-3 in Kykotsmovi, Arizona, Hwy. 264 at milepost 375.5 at the Hopi Veterans Memorial Center is cancelled.

The tourney was to include a 12 to 15 year old bracket and a 15-18 year old bracket.

The entry fee is $125 for both age groups and a $65 non-refundable deposit to reserve a spot on the bracket is required.

The remaining balance must be paid before the first game. Proof of age is required. More information is available at (928) 734-3432.
