Winslow Bulldogs come back to bite Chinle Wildcats 64-62
Strong fourth period performance from Trelonnie Sanders helps Winslow boost record to 5-3 for season

WINSLOW, Ariz. - The Winslow Bulldogs edged the Chinle Wildcats 64-62 in a game played at Winslow Dec. 16. The win improved Winslow's record to 5-3 for the season and dropped Chinle's to 5-4.

The teams were tied at 13-13 at the end of the first quarter but Chinle had a 29-25 lead at the intermission. Winslow cut the margin to a single basket at 43-41 heading into the final period. The Bulldogs outscored the Wildcats 23-19 in that period thanks mostly to 10 points from Trelonnie Sanders.

Sanders led all scorers with 21 points for the Bulldogs. Winslow had two more players in double figures. Akkeem Foster tallied 14 points and Dalvin

Benally scored 10 points. Jimiacan Ranger led Chinle with 14 points. Chritristen Blacksheep scored 13 points for the Wildcats.

Three-point shooting and free throws were keys to the Winslow victory. The Bulldogs hit nine three-pointers. The Wildcats hit four three-pointers and were 13 of 17 at the charity stripe. Chinle was 10 for 16 at the free throw line. The Wildcats had 20 two-point goals. The Bulldogs had 12.
