WINSLOW, Ariz. - The Just Cruis'n Car Club put on another successful car show Oct. 5. This year's event had the largest number of cars on display in the history of the show.

A total of 181 cars, trucks and motorcycles were on display. People brought cars from northern Arizona, Phoenix, New Mexico, Colorado and California. Steve Disch from Colorado won the prize for traveling the longest distance at 740 miles. Disch won that prize last year as well. But most of the trophies went to northern Arizona residents.

Northern Arizona has a wealth of artists, hot rod builders, creative designers, and skilled craftsmen. The car event showcased the cars of local custom vehicle builders, including a handmade (Harley powered) motorcycle featuring wooden hickory spokes.

An old style military jeep with six wheels was also on display. Spectators took in all kinds of cars including a Hot-Rod Ford Roadster and a modern Porsche 968.

The exteriors and interiors of the competing cars displayed paint schemes and paint quality unmatched on standard vehicles.
