Winslow Invitational Track Meet results

WINSLOW, Ariz. - The Winslow Invitational Track Meet was held on April 27 and saw much success by athletes from Snowflake, Show Low and Chinle. Winslow did not have a first place finisher and got most of its points in relay races. No team scores were available at press home.

Winslow's best effort was a third place finish by the girls' 4X100 meter relay team of Tomiko Clough, Brittany Woods, Kelafer Kinlecheenie and Lauren Hatch. The boys' 4X400 meter relay team as fourth and consisted of Cory Dixon, Kelly Wood, Demetrious Gamey and Cody Sangster. The boys' 4X100 meter relay team was fifth and consisted of Cory Dixon, Shane Sweet, Kelly Wood and Henry Montiel. The boys' 4X800 meter relay team was fifth consisting of Tito Johnson, Cody Sangster, John Hoskie and Austin Tsosie. The girls' 5X400 meter relay team was seventh consisting of Lauren Hatch, Brittany Woods, Kelafer Kinlecheenie and Shandiin Armao.

Lauren Hatch had two fourth place finishes in the 100 and 200 meter races. Alex Yazzie was fourth in the shot put and fifth in the discus. Kelly Wood was fifth in the 200 meters. Cody Sangster was sixth in the 800 meters. Henry Montiel was sixth in the long jump. Mesha Fuson was eighth in the girls' shot put.

Individual champions included Clara Daniel of Show Low in the girls' 110 meter hurdles and 300 meter hurdles, Dustin Shumway of Snowflake in the boys' 110 meter hurdles, Tyler Johnson of Snowflake in the 100 meters and the 200 meters, Josh Weeks of Show Low in the boys'400 meters, Kyndness Btoseman of Show Low in the girls' 400 meters, Brit Smith of Snowflake in the boys' 300 meter hurdles, Josh Weeks of Show Low in the boys' 200 meters, Lieke Elbersen of Show Low in the girls' 200 meters, Jonathan Yazzie of Chinle in the boys' 1600 meters, Colbi Nez of Holbrook in the girls' 1600 meters, Mathew Murray of Tuba City in the boys' 800 meters, Brianna Loughran of Tuba City in the girls' 800 meters, Charles Manymules of Chinle in the boys' 3200 meters, Rolanda Jumbo of Chinle in the girls' 3200 meters, Konner Lee of St. Johns in the boys' triple jump, Jaymi Carlen of Payson in the girls' triple jump, Luke Ross of Coconino in boys' high jump, Victoria Ignace of Coconino in the girls' high jump, Brent Becenti of Ganado in boys' shot put, Jessica Neff of Snowflake in girls' shot put, Reggie Peterson of Snowflake in boys' discus and Celia Williams of Blue Ridge in girls' discus.
