Left to right: Ron Adams, carver of Tewa; Larry Melendez holding his Zuni Soluwutsi carving; and Emmeline James ready to make Indian tacos and hamburgers. The three were helping to celebrate Suvoyuki Day at Homolovi Ruins State Park on Aug. 11. There was also corn baked in the ground and Hopi pottery being fired in the open by Dee Setella. A number of other Hopi artists, park displays and park tours were available.
