Fowler to host Third Annual AZ Legislative Day

MOENKOPI, Ariz. - On Friday, May 13, Coconino County District 5 Supervisor Lena Fowler will sponsor the third Annual Arizona Legislative Day at the Moenkopi Legacy Inn from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (MST). This event is made possible by participation and outreach from, Representatives Tom Chabin and Albert Hale, and Senator Jack Jackson Jr.

Supervisor Fowler hopes this annual event will be continue to be well-attended, stating, "We are always urging each Navajo chapter to attend and bring issues facing their communities to the attention of the state legislature."

This event was organized specifically for the 54 Navajo Nation chapters and Navajo Nation tribal departments within the state of Arizona. However, the event is open to all citizens and organizations within Arizona Legislative District 2. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the Arizona legislative process, critical legislative issues, potential impacts of budget cuts and meet one-on-one with the District 2 state legislators.

The goal of the event is to encourage better working relationships with the state of Arizona and Coconino County.
