Celebrate the wonder of hummingbirds at the Arb

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - The Arboretum at Flagstaff will host a Hummingbird Festival on Saturday, June 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in collaboration with the Arizona Game and Fish Department. Spend the day learning about these wondrous little birds and find out how to attract them to your garden.  

Visitors will learn how scientists study hummingbirds to track their migratory patterns. Would you like to get involved in the hummingbird monitoring effort in your own backyard? Find out how you can get involved in citizen science. Buy plants that hummingbirds love, attend tours of the gardens featuring hummingbird-friendly plants, and learn how to capture these fast creatures photographically. 

Children can participate in hands-on activities and games sponsored by the Northern Arizona Audubon Society. Attend presentations by The Hummingbird Monitoring Network, The Hummingbird Society, and the Arizona Game and Fish Department.
