WINSLOW, Ariz. - A group of talented and beautiful "women" ... well, they were actually men dressed up as women ... participated in a beauty and talent show at the Winslow High School Performing Arts Center on Saturday, April 10.

Local men (and their labor) were auctioned off. A few examples of the types of labor being auctioned were sprinkler installations, four hours of end-loader work and home repairs. All proceeds from ticket sales for the pageant and labor auction will go to support Alice's Place, a domestic violence shelter in Winslow.

The garish outfits and exaggerated feminine behavior completely transfixed the audience - when they weren't laughing.

Women audience members seemed to have a slight edge over the men in delight, but in the end, it was all for a good cause.
