Brown off to good start at AZ State

TEMPE, Ariz. - Winslow High School graduate R.C. Brown has already had success in speech and drama, media work and competition prior to his graduation in May of 2009. He has continued his success at Arizona State University where he is enrolled in the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and already part of their honors program.

While in high school, Brown was very active in the speech and drama club and was a state champion in competition. He worked as a radio announcer at KINO Radio and presented news programs and announced basketball and baseball games among other things. He attended a national program at Duke University during his senior year.

Brown was chief manager of the Winslow Bulldogs football team during his time at the high school and has also stepped into a similar role at ASU where he will be a manager of the Arizona State Sun Devil football team.

Brown is a Native American student and a member of the Navajo Tribe. He was highly regarded by the teachers and other staff members at Winslow High School and by his associates at KINO Radio. Brown has many friends in Winslow who will be following his career at Arizona State and expecting to see him in a prominent role in journalism and as a football manager.
