Cliff Castle offers free bowling party for kids

CAMP VERDE, Ariz. - Cliff Castle Casino's Shake, Rattle and Bowl bowling alley is putting on a party.

Kids ages 12-20 can attend the New Year's Eve event, which will be held from 7 p.m.-1a.m., with no admittance fee. There will be a live DJ with music all night long and a raffle drawing - only for kids - with prizes including $25 and $50 gift cards to Wal-Mart, a $25 I-Tunes Gift Card, a $65 Ipod Shuffle, and a $326 Net book.

All kids that bowl on New Year's Eve within the age group are eligible for the drawing and will receive a ticket for entry into the drawing. Giveaways of prizes will be held at 8 p.m., 9 p.m., 10 p.m., 11 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. Prizewinners will have five minutes to claim their prize once the winner's name is announced.

"We wanted to put on a party that local kids could attend that would be fun, exciting, low-cost - and safe," said Tom Melendez, Promotions Coordinator at Cliff Castle Casino.

Shake Rattle and Bowl is Cliff Castle Casino's 20-lane bowling center featuring Cosmic Bowling on Friday and Saturday nights - when the lights are turned low, the music is pumped up, and the whole place glows with space-themed neon colors. A pro shop with bowling equipment, clothes and specialty bowling balls is available on site, as well as a snack shop, The Gutter.
