Knights rout Many Farms in 2A football action

TUBA CITY, Ariz. - The Greyhills Academy High School Knights hosted the Many Farms Lobos in 2A football action Friday night and dominated the field through a mix of plays, running, passing and recovering fumbles and intercepting on defense.

The motivated crowd cheered their home team to a 46-0 win. With opening conference play the Knights notched their first win of the season (1-3. 1-0) along with an important conference win. Athletic Director Toney Begay was happy with the win, stating that it was "something to build on." Greyhills will have their homecoming parade and game Oct. 3 as they host the Pinon Eagles.

Last week in their loss to Window Rock, Coach Edwin Tano mentioned that the players were young and finding their chemisty to play as a team, "Have to feel the fire to believe." He said. This week they believed with offensive plays and defensive stops that got the home crowd fired up.

The Knights will travel to St. Johns on Friday and play at 7 p.m.
