Quit tobacco and win a Sedona getaway

Are you ready to quit the tobacco habit for good in 2008? There are plenty of free resources to help you with quitting, and you may win a Sedona getaway vacation.

If you participate in one of the Coconino County Health Department's programs in January and/or February, and you are tobacco free for the month of March, you will be entered in a drawing for the grand prize. The vacation includes a one-night stay at the Radisson Poco Diablo Resort, a one-hour spa treatment at the Sedona Hilton, champagne brunch for two at the Enchantment Resort and a $ 25 gift certificate to Stakes and Sticks.

The Coconino County Health Department offers a popular free six-week quit tobacco support group that meets one hour per week. It provides counseling along with vouchers for discounted supplies of Chantix®, nicotine gum and lozenges, nicotine patches and Zyban® to make quitting easier.

For more information or to sign up for the next Flagstaff group that begins at 6 p.m. on Jan. 8 or at noon on Jan. 10, call (928) 522-7882. Young adults can also join the free KISS groups that use weekly chat rooms and text messaging. The next group starts Jan. 29.
