BREAKING NEWS - Downtown branch of Bank of America robbed

On Tuesday, Dec. 18 at about 1:55 p.m., officers of the Flagstaff Police Department responded to an alarm call at the Bank of America on East Birch Avenue.

A white male entered the bank, displayed a silver colored revolver, took money from the teller and escaped on foot. No one was reported as injured during the robbery. He left on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as about six feet tall, medium build, no facial hair, wearing a dark colored ball cap, gray jacket, sunglasses, possibly blue jeans, and bicycle gloves. It appears the same suspect was photographed in a nearby bank minutes earlier without attempting a robbery.

The Flagstaff Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigations are working together to identify and locate the suspect. If you have any information on this crime please call 774-1414 or the Silent Witness line at 774-6111.
